On 8th December 2009, H.E. Ambassador Liu Xinsheng visited the construction site of the Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center constructed by Chinese Government for Tanzania in Morogoro.

The project was initiated at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). The construction started on October 16th this year, and is expected to finish within three years. Upon completion, the 50-acre production demonstration field and 12-acre administration demonstration area will be handed over to the Tanzania Government.
