In his answer to journalists' questions, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Qin Gang noted on May 19, according to the information from the Ministry of Civil Affairs, a large number of tents are in urgent need to shelter homeless people in the disaster-hit areas which are now in rainy season. China hopes the international community to provide tents first in offering aids. China expresses its heartfelt gratitude again to the international community for their proactive assistance.
