Q: Recently, some foreign countries have offered to send medical teams to assist relief work. How will China respond?
A: After the massive earthquake hit Wenchun in Sichuan Province, some countries and Red Cross societies have offered to send medical teams to support relief work in China, to which the Chinese Government and people express heartfelt gratitude. The Chinese Government is mobilizing the whole nation to fight against the disaster and has sent a large number of troops and medical workers to the disaster-hit areas. Considering the need of the current relief work, the Red Cross Society of China is authorized to accept medical teams from certain foreign countries to assist the medical relief work, China will stay in contact with all nations on the rescue and relief work.
