| Chinese envoy meets Sudanese officials on ties, Darfur | ||

KHARTOUM, April 22 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese government envoy has on Sunday held talks in Khartoum with Sudanese officials over bilateral relations and the development in Darfur, the Chinese embassy said Monday. According to a press release of the Chinese Embassy in Khartoum, Zhong Jianhua, special representative of the Chinese government for African affairs, has met with Sudanese Vice-President Al-Haj Adam Yosif and Rahamtalla Mohamed Osman, Sudan's Foreign Ministry Undersecretary on Sunday. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral ties, the latest developments between Sudan and South Sudan, as well as the situation in Darfur region. Zhong also met on Sunday with Mohamed Ibn Chambas, joint special representative of the joint African Union-UN mission in Darfur, over the situation in the region. | ||
