Amb. Jiang Feng meets with the Permanent Representatives of Zambia to the African Union

On April 24, Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, met with H.E. Amb. Albert Muchanga, Permanent Representative of Zambia to the African Union.



Amb. Jiang stated that China and Zambia are good brothers, good friends, and good partners. The China-Zambia friendship was forged by the elder generation of leaders of the two countries. The activation of the Tanzania-Zambia Railway is a shared aspiration of both peoples. For a long time, both sides have been supporting each other on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns. President Xi Jinping recently made a four-point proposition on safeguarding and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East, contributing a Chinese solution to resolving the crisis. China stands ready to continue  to play a constructive role in achieving the early restoration of peace and stability in the Middle East and Gulf region. 


Amb. Muchanga highly praised Zambia-China relations and thanked China for its long-term and firm support for Zambia and Africa. He stated that Zambia firmly adheres to the one-China principle and is willing to maintain close communication with the Chinese mission, to strengthen cooperation on platforms such as the African Union, and jointly safeguard the common interests of the Global South. Amb. Muchanga highly praised the four-point proposition initiated by President Xi Jinping and appreciated China’s significant contributions to promoting a ceasefire and end hostilities in the region.
