| Nigerian president: Three Gorges Project miracle |

Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo said April 16th the Three Gorges Project is a "miracle of modern construction". Obasanjo made the remarks during his visit to the construction site of the project, China's largest hydropower station, Saturday morning. Li Yong'an, a senior manager of the project, briefed Obasanjo on the construction process, the situation of the emigration and environment protection. Later in the morning, Luo Qingquan, governor of Hubei Province,met with Obasanjo in Yichang city, where the dam is located. The Nigerian president left Yichang for Shanghai Saturday afternoon, continuing his China tour. Obasanjo arrived in Beijing Thursday for a four-day state visitto China as guest of Chinese President Hu Jintao. This is Obasanjo's third visit to China since assuming presidency in 1999. He is now visiting China in the capacity of Nigerian president and rotating president of the African Union.
