During his stay in Shanghai, Obasanjo met local governmental officials and visited a major foreign trade port. Obasanjo arrived in Beijing on 14th. He had talks with Hu and met with top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao, while witnessing the signing of some cooperation documents between the two countries. He also visited Hubei Province in central China. China and Nigeria agreed to establish a strategic partnership within the framework of South-South cooperation and to enhance political and economic cooperation, according to a joint statement issued on Friday.
