Wang Jiarui, minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met in Beijing on May 17 (Tuesday) with a delegation of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), headed by Peter Meswele, chairman of the Youth Wing.
Wang praised the China-Botswana traditional friendship and cooperation. "The CPC attaches great importance to developing friendly relations with the BDP," he said, expressing his hope that the understanding and friendship between the two parties could be strengthened through party exchanges.
Meswele said he appreciated the support the CPC and Chinese government offered to Botswana, and expressed his willingness to strengthen the two parties' friendly exchanges and promote the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
