South African Labor Minister Membathisi Mdladlana is to leave for China on Friday (May 20) to discuss employment creation and coordination in international labor organizations. Page Boikanyo, spokesman for the ministry said Thursday that Minister Mdladlana is to pay a visit to Beijing "with an intention of strengthening bilateral relations with his Chinese counterpart." The visit is taking place within the context of several memoranda of understanding signed between the two countries, which provide for continuous exchange visits at ministerial level as well as visits by senior officials and study tour groups in specialized fields. Other areas of cooperation included the exchange of experts for training courses and seminars and an "exchange of materials on human resource development," the spokesman said.
