| Huang Ju Meets with Special Envoy of Tunisian President |

On the afternoon of September 20, 2005, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Huang Ju met with visiting Special Envoy of Tunisian President and Tunisian Minister of Justice and Human Rights Bechir Tekkari in Zhongnanhai. Huang said that since the establishment of China-Tunisia diplomatic ties 41 years ago, bilateral relations have been developing steadily and both sides have conducted fruitful cooperation in various areas. The Chinese government actively supports the Tunisian government to hold the second phase of World Summit on Information Society in November this year. China would like to work with Tunisia to strengthen bilateral exchanges, build up mutual political trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and upgrade the bilateral friendly cooperative relations to a higher level. Tekkari noted that the Tunisian government attaches great importance to developing the bilateral friendly relations, thanks for China's support of this Summit and welcomes China to dispatch a high-level delegation to it.
