Chinese premier starts official visit to Angola
2006/06/21

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in Luanda on June 20 (Tuesday) on a two-day official visit to Angola at the invitation of President Jose Eduardo Dos Santos.

Angola is the fourth leg of Wen's seven-nation African tour, which has already taken him to Egypt, Ghana and the Republic of the Congo. He will also visit South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.

This is Wen's second visit to Africa since he participated in the Second Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in December 2003.
