Angola: China Proposes New Cooperation Areas

Luanda - Angola and China will soon expand their cooperation into the areas of industry, agriculture and agro-industry, according to the Chinese director general of the Department for Africa and Asian Trade, Xie Yajing.

The information was released Thursday in Luanda by the Chinese official, on the sidelines of a meeting held with the minister of State for Civil Affairs of the Presidency, Carlos Maria Feijó, intended to assess the state of cooperation between both countries.

Xie Yajing said that, besides the commercial and civil construction fields in which China has been operating, her country proposed for Angolan Government the expansion of cooperation to other investment areas.

The Angolan secretary of State for Cooperation, Exalgina Gambôa, said that the visiting Chinese delegation comprises by 50 elements from various sectors.

The source said that the conversation will go until Friday and a verbal agreement will be signed setting the framework for new cooperation methods.
