Chinese Embassy in South Sudan Hosts the Second “Tripartite Mechanism Meeting” on Consular Protection

Juba, November 18, 2025 – The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of South Sudan today convened the second "Tripartite Mechanism Meeting" on Consular Protection. Ambassador Ma Qiang attended the event and delivered keynote remarks.

The meeting brought together over 40 participants, including representatives from the South Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Trade and Industry, National Police Service, National Security Service, Juba City Council, as well as Chinese enterprises and community representatives in South Sudan.

The three parties engaged in in-depth discussions, with a primary focus on the pressing issues affecting the business activities and daily lives of Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese in South Sudan. Participants expressed their commitment to further building consensus, strengthening coordination, and giving full play to the effectiveness of the "Tripartite Meeting Mechanism," so as to deepen mutually beneficial socio-economic cooperation between China and South Sudan.
