Ambassador Fan Yong pays a courtesy call on Commander of the Botswana Defence Force

On November 27, 2025, Ambassador Fan Yong paid a courtesy call on General Mpho Mophuting, Commander of the Botswana Defence Force.

Ambassador Fan briefed Mr. Mokento on the Fourth Plenary Session of 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China， Global Security Initiative and the Partnership Action for Common Security. Ambassador Fan expressed willingness to strengthen military exchanges and cooperation at the turn the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

General Mophuting appreciated China’s support for BDF and hoped to enhance personnel exchanges between the two sides while deepening cooperation in areas such as national defense, peace and security.
