Ambassador Han Jing Attends the Opening Ceremony of Zambia Mobile Congress 2026

On May 26, 2026, Ambassador Han Jing attended the  Opening Ceremony of Zambia Mobile Congress 2026, which was co-hosted by Huawei and SMART Zambia Institute. Zambian Vice-President Mutale Nalumango, National Coordinator of SMART Zambia Institute, Permanent Secretaries of relevant ministries and provincial governments, together with over 300 representatives of Chinese and Zambian ICT enterprises, were present at the congress.

Ambassador Han Jing stated that under the strategic guidance of our two heads of state, China-Zambia friendly relations have continued to grow in recent years. The ICT sector has grown into a flagship area of bilateral practical cooperation. The Chinese government will continue to encourage Chinese enterprises, including Huawei, to actively participate in bilateral ICT cooperation, and elevate our Comprehensive Strategic and Cooperative Partnership to new heights.

Vice-President Nalumango stated that the Zambian government will take digital transformation as a driver of national development, and create inclusive digital opportunities for all Zambian citizens. She also appreciated Huawei for its contribution to the development of Zambia’s ICT sector, and hoped to further deepen cooperation with China in relevant fields.
