Charge d'Affairs ad interim of Chinese Embassy in Lesotho Mr. Song Changqing Exchanged Letters on Policing Materials Aid with Principal Secretary of Police and Public Safety
On 8 March 2019, Mr. Song Changqing, the Charge d'Affairs ad interim of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of Lesotho exchanged with Mr. Matela Thabane, the Principal Secretary of Police and Public Safety of Lesotho, the letters on China-aid policing materials to Lesotho. Mr. Molibeli Holomo, the Commissioner of Police and Mr. Ezekiel Senti, the Deputy Principal Secretary of Police were present.
Mr. Song spoke highly of the China-Lesotho cooperation on policing and public safety. He wished that both sides could accelerate implementing the outcomes of the Minister of Police and Public Safety Hon. Mampho Mokhele's official visit to China so that to enable the Lesotho police to more effectively maintain social security.. Mr. Song also indicated that since the convention of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, exchanges between both sides in all fields has been intensified continuously, and China wishes to continue to work together with Lesotho for greater achievements in bilateral friendly cooperation.
Mr. Thabane and Mr. Holomo extended sincere appreciation for the policing aids from China. They pointed out that the aids will effectively facilitate the policing capacity building and remarkably improve the public safety of Lesotho. They both reiterated that the Lesotho police attach great importance to protecting the Chinese nationals in Lesotho, and wish to make more contributions for deepening the China-Lesotho friendship.
