Dai Bing, Special Representative of State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi Attends the Seventh TICAD upon Invitation
From August 26 to 30, Dai Bing, Special Representative of State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, led a delegation to attend the seventh Tokyo International Conference of African Development (TICAD) in Yokohama upon invitation.
Special Representative Dai Bing attended the TICAD Senior Officials' Meeting, the TICAD Ministerial Meeting and the TICAD Yokohama Summit, met with delegations from African countries, and briefed on the follow-up actions of Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). He expressed, the Chinese side will deliver on its promises, and is willing to further enhance integration with the African side to promote the implementation of the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing Summit. Dai Bing noted, the Chinese side is glad to see the international community increasing investment in Africa and is glad to see TICAD, as an economic and trade cooperation platform for Japan and Africa, making greater contributions to economic and social development of Africa. It is hoped that all parties in the international community will give play to respective strengths, actively fulfill their commitment, and make new efforts for the peace and development of Africa.
