Edgar Chagwa Lungu, President of Zambia, Zambia will eventually overcome COVID-19. China will continue to provide support within its capacity for Zambia's fight against COVID-19 and work with the Zambian side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state on the development of China-Zambia relations and push for greater development of bilateral relations.
H.E. Madam Esther Lungu expressed her gratitude to China's support to the epidemic control in Africa and the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD). China and Zambia are all-weather friends. The two peoples are as close as one family. The timely donation from China will provide valuable assistance to the Zambian women, children and youth in fighting the epidemic and make positive contribution to Zambia's fight against the epidemic.
