【Official Name】The Republic of Guinea-Bissau
【Area】36,125 km2
【Population】1.82 million (2016). There are 27 ethnic groups, of which the Balanta people account for 27% of the total population, the Fula 23%, and the Mandinka 12%. The official language is Portuguese. Creole is a commonly used language. 45% of residents believe in Islam, and the rest believe in Catholicism, Christian Protestantism, and indigenous religions.

【Geography and Climate】Located in the western part of Africa, the mainland part of Guinea-Bissau borders Senegal to the north, Guinea to the east and south, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. It also encompasses the Bissagos and other islands. The coastline is about 300 km long. It has a tropical monsoon climate with high temperatures throughout the year and an annual average temperature of about 25℃.
