【Area】2,236 k㎡
【Population】About 800,000 (2017). The country is mainly composed of Arab descendants, Cafre, Makoas, and Sakalava. Comorian is the commonly used language, and the official languages are Comorian, French, and Arabic. More than 95% of residents believe in Islam (mainly Sunni).
【Capital】Moroni, with a population of about 60,000. The hot season is from November to May, with an average temperature of 24 to 31℃; and the cool season is June to October, with an average temperature of 19 to 27℃.
【Head of State】President Azali Assoumani took office in May 2016.
